UDL Series 2-Stage Worm Gearbox 1.5kW – WPDX 100

The UDL Series 2-Stage Worm Gearbox 1.5kW – WPDX 100 is a modern industrial drive gearbox. More specifically, it is installed between a mechanical speed variator (UDL) and a WPDX gearbox to form a 2-stage gearbox, offering flexible speed adjustment, high torque, and stable operation. The rugged design and durable materials allow the device to withstand high loads, operate continuously, and minimize wear. The gearbox is easy to install, quick to maintain, and suitable for various production lines, from conveyors, mixers, and crushers to automation systems.

General design of the UDL Series 2-Stage Worm Gearbox 1.5kW – WPDX 100

As a worm gearbox series, the 1.5kW 2Hp electric motor speed variator is directly assembled with the WPDX 100 worm gearbox. The device operates powerfully, helping to increase output torque and facilitating convenient installation in various positions.

This equipment series is assembled with an electric motor to create a gear motor product, specifically paired with a 3-phase electric motor 5.5kW 7.5Hp and a 3-phase electric motor 7.5kW 10Hp, featuring a powerful functional structure and smoother operation.

• The gearbox housing is cast from high-quality aluminum alloy and cast iron, ensuring structural rigidity, fast heat dissipation, and good corrosion resistance.
• The industrial blue painted surface prevents oxidation, protecting against dust, grease, and moisture.
• The speed adjustment knob is conveniently placed, allowing quick rotational speed increases or decreases without stopping the machine.
• The UDL speed variator is directly linked to the WPDX 100 worm gearbox, creating a synchronized drive unit that increases torque and maintains stable speed. Compact and powerful structure, easy to install with various electric motors, suitable for both light and heavy industrial machinery.

Structure of the UDL – WPDX 2-stage gearbox

The worm gearbox consists of scientifically arranged components to ensure durable operation:

• The UDL mechanical speed variator is directly attached to the 1.5kW 2HP electric motor.
• The WPDX 100 worm gearbox is made of hardened alloy steel, with a high-grade phosphor bronze worm wheel, ensuring smooth transmission, reduced wear, and extended service life.
• The input shaft receives power from the motor, while the output shaft delivers high torque and stable speed.
• The mechanical speed adjustment knob allows operators to easily adjust speed up or down according to working requirements.
• The breather plug and oil cap support heat dissipation, pressure balancing, and lubrication oil protection, helping the equipment operate long-term without overheating.

Guide to assembling the WPDX worm gearbox and UDL mechanical speed variator to form a 2-stage gearbox

Properly combining the UDL mechanical speed variator and the WPDX 100 worm gearbox technically will ensure smooth equipment operation, increased torque, and extended lifespan. Follow these 4 concise steps:

• Preparation and component inspection: Carefully check the shaft and flange dimensions of the UDL 1.5kW speed variator and WPDX 100 gearbox (ensure synchronization of the 24mm input/output shaft dimensions and 8mm keyway). Wipe away dust or protective oil layers on the contact surfaces.
• Key installation and lubrication: Firmly insert the key into the shaft keyway.
• Connecting the UDL speed variator to the WPDX gearbox: Align the keyway and shaft, then slowly push the flange of the UDL speed variator close against the flange (input shaft) of the WPDX 100 gearbox. Handle with care, avoiding excessive force or heavy hammering that could deform the shaft.
• Tightening bolts and securing: Insert bolts into the connecting flange holes. Gradually tighten the screws in a diagonal (symmetrical) pattern to ensure the two flanges fit tightly and evenly without warping.

The UDL Series 2-Stage Worm Gearbox 1.5kW – WPDX 100 is easy to install, features good load capacity and high durability, helping businesses minimize maintenance costs and downtime.
