A centrifugal water pump under 3.7kW is a water suction pump that uses the principle of centrifugal force to transport water, operating with a capacity of less than 3.7kW (equivalent to about 5HP). This water pump series typically uses a 1-phase (220V) or 3-phase (380V) power source, suitable for residential water pumping needs, agricultural irrigation, water supply and drainage for houses, and small to medium-sized projects. With a compact design, easy operation, and good energy efficiency, the centrifugal water pump is an economical choice for users who need a stable flow rate without requiring excessively high pressure.

Applications of the centrifugal water pump under 3.7kW
Centrifugal water pumps with a capacity of less than 3.7kW are commonly used in the following applications:
Providing household water supply: Family water pumps help pump water from wells and tanks to household water-using equipment such as showers, washing machines, and toilets.
Agricultural irrigation: Water pumps are used to irrigate vegetables, fruit trees, and other crops, helping to ensure a water source for plant growth.
Water pumping for livestock: Centrifugal water pump motors under 3.7kW help provide drinking water for cattle, poultry, and other livestock.
Water pumping for cooling systems: Water pumps are used in cooling systems such as air conditioners and coolers to maintain a stable temperature.
Water pumping for small industrial applications: Water pumps are used in small factories and production workshops to pump water for production processes.

Why is it that even though the centrifugal pump has been fully primed with water and the motor rotates strongly, the water still does not rise or rises very weakly?
This phenomenon is mostly due to the motor rotating in the reverse direction (common with 3-phase pumps when phase wires are wired incorrectly, or 1-phase pumps with incorrect capacitor wiring). The nature of the centrifugal impeller is that it must rotate in the correct beveled direction of the blades to centrifuge water out of the discharge outlet. You just need to swap 2 of the 3 power phases (for 3-phase power) or check the capacitor wiring diagram (for 1-phase power) so that the pump impeller rotates in the direction of the arrow on the pump body.
Why is it that this horizontal centrifugal pump absolutely cannot self-prime if the suction pipe has a pinprick-sized leak?
Centrifugal pumps do not have the ability to self-prime air like vacuum pumps. When the suction pipe leaks (even very slightly), the suction force of the pump will pull air into the pipe instead of water. Air entering the impeller chamber will cause the negative pressure to be lost, leading to “air locking” and immediate loss of prime water. You need to wrap PTFE tape carefully and check the tightness of all suction pipe joints.
How to choose the standard suction and discharge pipe diameters for a centrifugal water pump under 3.7kW?
The technical standard rule is: The suction pipe must be equal to or 1 size larger than the pump suction port (to avoid cavitation and flow drop); The discharge pipe can be equal to or reduced by a maximum of 1 size compared to the pump discharge port (to increase high-head pressure). You must absolutely not reduce the suction pipe smaller than the pump port, as this will cause the machine to lack input water, leading to jerking, loud noise, and rapid damage to the water seal.
