3-Stage Gearbox (2 UDL 0.37kW and 1 WPDO 60)

3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60) is a gearbox line combined by a 2-stage gearbox and an added mechanical speed variator to form a 3-stage gearbox drive system achieving deep speed reduction and a wide speed regulation range, helping the system operate stably at various speed modes.

Overview of 3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60)

3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60) is manufactured according to industrial mechanical standards, ensuring high durability and stable operation. It is made from aluminum alloy and cast iron, ensuring rigidity, fast heat dissipation, and good load-bearing capacity. The industrial blue powder-coated surface helps the device resist rust, limit oxidation, and increase service life when working in humid or dusty conditions, providing precise control and smooth operation.

Structure of 3-Stage Gearbox (2 UDL and 1 WPDO)

3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60) is formed by combining a 0.37kW 0.5Hp mechanical speed variator with a UDL 0.37kW – WPDO 60 2-stage gearbox, creating a compact and flexible 3-stage drive system with the following structures:

Structure of the mechanical speed variator:

• Rough input speed adjustment, using conical speed variator discs, self-aligning sliding washers, and anti-slip friction shafts to create the initial speed baseline.
• Friction discs – cone discs: Change contact points to create a stepless output speed range.
• Input shaft – output shaft: The input shaft receives power from the motor, and the output shaft outputs the stably adjusted speed.
• Adjustment mechanism: Knob or lever adjusts the pressing force between the discs, controlling fast-slow speed.
• Protective housing & bearings: Cast iron/aluminum housing protects the mechanism; bearings and oil seals ensure smooth operation, reduce friction, and increase service life.

Structure of the UDL 0.37kW – WPDO 60 2-stage gearbox

• Stage 1: WPDO 60 worm gearbox consisting of a steel worm and bronze worm gear to create a large gear ratio and high torque.
• Stage 2: The speed variator unit fine-tunes the speed more smoothly and accurately, helping the system flexibly adapt to each operating mode before transmitting power to the gearbox.
• Shaft – bearing – transmission linkage system: Includes input shaft – intermediate shaft – output shaft along with load-bearing bearings, ensuring the entire 3-stage assembly runs smoothly, stably, and transmits concentric power.

Applications of 3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60)

This 3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60) is connected to an electric motor (specifically a 3-phase electric motor – 3-phase electric motor 0.37kW 0.5Hp) with applications in industries such:

• Screw conveyors – feeder screws: require stable pulling force and adjustable speed according to material volume.
• Stirrers, small-capacity mixing machines: suitable for various mixing modes.
• Packaging – product pushing equipment: requires smooth movement, variable speed according to packaging type.
• Turntables, sorting tables: require stable slow movement and flexible speed adjustment.
• Small automation production lines: require continuous speed variation but stable pulling force.

How to Install WPDO Gearbox and 2 UDL Mechanical Speed Variators to Form a 3-Stage Gearbox

Assembling the 3-stage reduction system requires meticulousness to ensure absolute concentricity, helping the power transmission system run smoothly without vibration or rapid wear. The assembly process is carried out sequentially via standard B5 flanges.

Preparation before installation

• Check shaft dimensions and bore holes: The output shaft of the 2 UDL units and the input of the WPDO 60 must match.
• Clean contact surfaces, flanges, and keyways of all components to avoid dust causing bumps and misalignment.

Detailed assembly steps

• Connect 2 UDL mechanical speed variators in series: Insert the key into the output shaft of the first UDL unit. Align the two flanges to fit together. Use bolts to tighten evenly in a cross pattern (diagonal) to ensure the two variators hug tightly, forming a balanced and concentric 2-UDL monolithic assembly.
• Assemble the 2-UDL unit into the WPDO 60 gearbox: Insert this shaft section into the worm (hollow shaft) input of the WPDO 60 gearbox. Tighten the connection bolts to secure it. At this point, the 3-stage reduction system is completely formed.

Integrating the 3-Stage Gearbox (With 2 UDL 0.37kW 1 WPDO 60) brings maximum flexibility for screw conveyors, stirrers, packaging equipment, or small automation lines. By harmoniously coordinating between the UDL mechanical speed variator and the WPDO worm gearbox, this system helps optimize working performance across various modes while ensuring powerful drive force.
