WPS 135 Worm Gearbox

The WPS 135 Worm Gearbox is a transmission device featuring a right-angle arrangement between the input and output shafts, suitable for use in various production machinery systems. This is a popular choice thanks to its reasonable price and ability to well meet operational demands. The following article will provide detailed information about the characteristics, applications, and standout advantages of the gearbox.

General Design of the WPS 135 Worm Gearbox

The worm gear gearbox features a sturdy design with mutually perpendicular input and output shafts, helping to save installation space. The housing is cast from high-strength cast iron, protecting internal components well and increasing the ability to work under heavy loads.

Inside, the worm shaft is made of stainless steel, combined with a copper alloy worm gear to reduce friction, ensure smooth operation, and enhance service life. The equipment surface is coated with electrostatic paint to resist corrosion and operate durably in harsh industrial environments.

When combined with an electric motor to become a powerful gear motor drive, this is an ideal choice for applications such as conveyors, mixers, presses, or automation systems.

Internal Structure of the WPS 135 Worm Gearbox

The WPS 135 worm gearbox is designed with sturdy and durable main components, ensuring stable transmission efficiency and long service life in various industrial applications.

• Worm shaft: Made of high-grade stainless steel, the worm shaft has high load-bearing and wear-resistant capacity, ensuring durable operation over a long period.
• Worm gear: Made of pure copper, the worm gear helps minimize wear during movement, enhancing the efficiency and lifespan of the equipment.
• Gears: The gears are precisely meshed to generate powerful torque and effectively reduce rotational speed, meeting strict technical requirements.

Technical Specifications of the WPS 135 Gear Motor

The specifications below show the technical characteristics of the WPS 135 gear motor, including size, overall dimensions, and input/output shaft diameters.

Applications of the WPS 135 Worm Gearbox

Thanks to their compact size, they are widely used in manufacturing and food processing:

• Mixing cement, rolling corrugated steel sheets, grinding wood, paper, and brick clay, serving the construction and building materials production industries.
• Bucket elevators, screw conveyors, plastic crushing for recycling, and material thinning, applied in production and raw material recycling lines.
• Coal mining machines, sand mining machines, and herbal medicine manufacturing, supporting extraction and natural processing operations.
• Offshore oil drilling rigs, bamboo bending machines, and wood bending machines, meeting operational demands in heavy industries and handicrafts.
• Handicraft making machines and fruit juice extractors, serving the food processing and handicraft manufacturing industries.

Instructions for Filling Oil in the WPS Worm Gearbox

• Cut off power: Ensure the machine has completely stopped to avoid accidents.
• Drain old oil (if replacing with new oil): Place a collection tray underneath. Remove the oil drain plug to let all the old oil drain out. Then, tighten the drain plug securely.
• Identify the filling location: Locate the oil fill plug (or breather plug) on the top surface of the WPS gearbox. Unscrew and remove this plug.
• Fill to the correct oil level: Slowly pour in lubricating oil. As a rule of thumb, the oil level in the gearbox should reach between 1/3 and 1/2 of the gearbox capacity. Do not overfill as oil will overflow when the machine runs.
• Check the oil level: Use a dipstick (if available) inserted into the hole and pulled out to check the oil level. The oil level must be between the highest and lowest marks.
• Completion: Reinstall the oil fill plug or breather plug. Tighten securely to prevent leaks.
