• Step 1 – Drain old oil: Use a wrench to open the drain plug at the bottom of the housing to let all the old oil flow out. This should be done while the gearbox is still slightly warm so the old oil is thinner and flows more easily. After draining completely, tighten the bottom plug.
• Step 2 – Add new oil: Remove the oil filler plug on top of the gearbox. Use a funnel to slowly pour in new lubricating oil.
• Step 3 – Check the standard level: While adding oil, observe the side oil sight glass. The standard level is when the oil surface is right in the middle (1/2) of the glass.
